Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery focuses on the future. Regardless of what has already happened, the solution is to start making wise choices now and depend on Christ's power to help make those changes.
- Pastor Rick Warren

Join us every Tuesday night for Celebrate Recovery. Our intent is to provide a safe place - a community of individuals seeking healing and restoration through worship and teaching, personal recovery experiences, and small group interaction.

Our meeting starts out in the Sanctuary at 7:00 PM and ends in open share groups at 9:00 PM. All are welcome! Childcare is available.

The Road to Recovery

Eight Principles Based on The Beatitudes
By Pastor Rick Warren

R E C O V E R Y

Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.

“Happy are those who know that they are spiritually poor.” Matthew 5:3

Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.

“Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.

“Happy are the meek.” Matthew 5:5

Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

“Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8

Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.

“Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.” Matthew 5:6

Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.

“Happy are the merciful.” Matthew 5:7

“Happy are the peacemakers.” Matthew 5:9

Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.

“Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” Matthew 5:10

What is a hurt, habit, or hang-up?

A hurt, habit, or hang-up is something that hinders your walk with God.

The feeling of being hurt is an emotional reaction to another person's behavior or to a disturbing situation (abuse, abandonment, codependency, divorce, or relationship issues).

A habit is an addiction to someone or something (alcoholism, drugs, food, gambling, sex, shopping, or smoking).

Hang-ups are negative mental attitudes that are used to cope with people or adversity (anger, depression, fear, or unforgiveness). These life problems can be stumbling blocks or stepping stones. Healing is available through applying the principles of a Bible-based recovery process to your life.

Open Share Groups

Celebrate Recovery 101

A one-time open share group that introduces CR. Recommended for newcomers.

Women's Codependency

As women, our tendency is to live our lives around relationships, but often these relationships (or our focus on them) can be unhealthy. Our negative self-perceptions can cause us to make bad choices. Come join us as we support and care for each other and learn God’s way for developing good relationships with others and a healthier attitude toward ourselves.

Women's Life Hurts

Women who experience a broken heart, in many ways, are a “victim” in the wake of another person’s actions, whether intentional or unintentional. The broken heart she experiences may be the result of abandonment, rejection, oppression, abuse, or even death. In many ways, a broken heart is a “broken spirit”, in which you may lose the will to live, love, or to trust. Come join us as we fully experience the promise of Christ Jesus to heal us from our broken hearts and find strength to reach out to others.

Women's Chemically Dependent

For women with drug or alcohol dependencies. Come are you are; this is a safe environment to share your struggles. We are here to support you with friendship, accountability, and prayers as we travel the road to recovery together.

Men's Life Issues

For men with recovery issues such as co-dependency and relationship issues. Come and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and others without fear of condemnation. This group offers accountability and support as you heal.

Men's Sexual Purity

For men to heal from sexual brokenness and find strength to overcome unhealthy sexual behaviors and freedom from sexual addiction in a safe and confidential environment. Find the support and accountability you need and develop a closer relationship with the one who can heal, Jesus Christ.

Men's Chemical Dependency

For men with drug or alcohol dependencies. Come are you are; this is a safe environment to share your struggles. We are here to support you with friendship, accountability, and prayers as we travel the road to recovery together.

Recovery for the whole family

At Celebrate Recovery, we believe when there is a dysfunction in the family, everyone needs recovery. We all have developed unhealthy and ungodly ways of handling the hurts, habits, and hang-ups of life. Recovery is not just for drug addicts or alcoholics. The truth is we've all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. Each of us needs recovery in order to live our lives in the way God intended.

The Landing: Celebrate Recovery for Students

The Landing is an ongoing 52-week program based on the beatitudes where Jesus laid out principles for happiness in the sermon on the mount – for teenagers who are struggling to live their lives in a healthy, God-honoring way. Maybe they come from a dysfunctional home or have faced crises in their life. Maybe they simply need help developing patterns of wise choices, or they wrestle with an addiction of some kind. Whatever their life story, they know they need something more than a typical Sunday school class or youth group meeting. Or maybe they don’t know this, but the people who love them do. The Landing is a safe, healing place where teenagers (6th-12th grade) can live a freer, healthier, and more God-centered life.

It’s not a lecture-style resource. It’s designed to get teenagers talking about and exploring new ways of thinking and doing. They won’t just be listening to someone speak – instead, they’ll be talking to each other and to their leaders in a fully engaging environment that includes simple experiences that will help them “own” what they’re learning. The leaders provide strong leadership and encourage the students to participate and engage in the discussion. This style of teaching helps everyone feel the satisfaction of playing a key role in the journey.

Celebration Place

Celebration Place is a 52-week program that mirrors the Celebrate Recovery one-year, large group teaching schedule and curriculum plan. This means that while adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, their kids are discovering the same truths in age-appropriate ways!

Designed for K-5th Grade, Celebration Place will lead kids in making Jesus the foundation of their lives, break cycles of dysfunction, and join their parents in forgiveness and healing

Nursery/Childcare

Childcare is available for ages 0-4 from 6:50-9:10 PM. Background checks are done on all volunteers.

Step Studies
Step Studies

What is a Step Study?

A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 8 Beatitudes and 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a confidential group led by a facilitator who has completed a study. The group is open for newcomers to join until the group reaches the fourth step, when the group is closed for the duration of the steps.

When you finish the study, you will have worked your hurts, habits, and hang-ups through each of the 8 Beatitudes and 12 steps. A Step Study is a long-term commitment to the members of the group. Step Study meetings are gender-specific and meet on different days than the Tuesday Evening Celebrate Recovery meetings.
